Documentaries and Patient Stories
In an interview-led film, the story is found in the edit. We read every transcript, agree on the structure with you on paper, and only then start cutting.
What's included
Edit
The story edit, from the interviews and the b-roll.
Color
A grade across interviews and locations.
Sound
Sound mix, with interview audio cleaned up and leveled.
Titles
Titles and lower thirds.
Reviews
Review rounds planned around your client's approvals.
Healthcare and patient stories
We've cut patient stories and documentaries about rare disease and cell therapy for biotech and patient advocacy clients. These films go through medical-legal review before they're released. We plan the schedule around that review from day one, so review time is already inside the delivery date.
Good for
- Patient stories
- Brand documentaries
- Founder and company stories
- Milestone and anniversary films
- Sports documentaries
- Feature-length documentaries
How it runs
One fixed price for the film, agreed before the footage arrives. Transcripts and a paper edit first, then the first cut, your changes, and grade, mix and delivery. Documentaries take longer than brand films.
Who you work with
Alan reads the transcripts and builds the story himself, and reviews every cut before it reaches you.
